In terms of Project „Youth for Democracy” youth are appealed to write an essay about different aspects of democracy. The aim of the competition is to make youth think about society where we all live in, evaluate processes of democracy and also propose creative ideas for positive changes.
Essays can be sent to the e-mail address: essay@tvweb.lv until the 5th of October about three main topics: How youth can change the world? How should look society in democratic country? Mass media and society – how does media influences freedom of choice? Each can choose the most suitable topic for itself and share thoughts, critics and proposals with wider audience.
Essays will be evaluated by the participants of project „Youth for Democracy” and also teachers from Latvian and Lithuanian schools. The main criterions of evaluations will be quality of content and usefulness of recommendations. The best essay will be published on www.tvweb-lv.eu and authors will be rewarded with valuable presents from supporters of the competitions: publishing house „Zvaigzne ABC”, Cinema „Cinamon”, subscription agency „SPKS” and cafe „Don Donulis”.
