Youth NGO "Next Media Group” in field of the project “Youth for Democracy” is organizing international forum which is going to be held 12 -14th November, 2010. Young people are invited to attend the final presentation of the conference, scheduled for 13th November.
The project „Youth for democracy” (March – December Year 2010) is an international project which is being realized in 2 EU member states – Latvia and Lithuania. The main targets of the project are promote youth partnership in the mechanisms of representative democracy on the national and Europe level, to find out thought of youth related positive changes in the politics and also compare youth outlook to the policy related issues in Latvia and Lithuania by stimulating bilateral cooperation.
Being active in the project young people were able to gain knowledge and experience in international projects, which was based on creative realization basis.
The first three winners of the essay competition will be rewarded in time of conference, where young people were invited to express their views on subjects relating various aspects of democracy. The aim of the competition is to make youth think about society where we all live in, evaluate processes of democracy and also propose creative ideas for positive changes. Sent essays were judged by two key criteria - quality of the content and usefulness of the recommendation; the young people’s creative deals to promote democracy in the society we live in.
Conference participants are NGO representatives - of Latvia NEXT MEDIA GROUP and Hauss, and partner organizations from Lithuania Kakava and Nendre. Conference will provide information about used for the project realization multimedia capabilities, which were implemented during the project activities, as well as the results and experiences of the participants of the project.
